Blog Fest 09!

You may see the title to this post and wonder what Blog Fest 09 is. You may also see the title and not care at all what it means or just assume the title holds no importance at all. Well to end your couriosity, or lack there of, I will inform you on what Blog Fest 09 is and if it holds any importance at all. Blog Fest 09 is a small group of one, me, that puts out many blogs, three, in a short amount of time. So basically, what I’m saying is that Blog Fest 09 has been going on for about a week and a half now. These past three blogs I have posted are Blog Fest 09. That is all it is. I was just excited that I am back to a semi-regular blogging pattern. You people aren’t excited for me? No? That just sucks ass and takes the fun out of Blog Fest 09. You people are kill joys; every single one of you.

Ending the intro and moving on to the beef of the post – beef of the post meaning the actual point of my typing. I am now a senior in high school. I have been in school two days, and I have realized something very important about the year to come. My classes are going to be super easy. The only three challenging classes I have are English 12, government, and college algebra. However, I enjoy government and love English, so in all reality I only have one class that I will not enjoy, college algebra. To make the year even better, college algebra isn’t really that hard. That really means quite a bit coming from a man who almost failed pre-calculus. The other classes are all easy breasy. I believe I have a guitar/piano class, journalism, photography, and video productions. Therefore, I should enjoy my senior year, hopefully. In conclusion to this paragraph, I would like to apologize for any readers who may have found it boring. I am sorry, but I needed a topic to talk about and this made a decently sized paragraph. So, I would not be at all offended if you skimmed your way through this. I thank you for you cooperation.

Finishing with the happy reading and moving on to the ranting. Every year I come back to high school I am reminded of how stupid the majority of students are. During the summer you tend to forget how annoying and frustrating these imbecils are. This forgetfulness makes perfect sense, because normal people do not like to think of other annoying and frustrating people. Anyway, I walk into my first day school. What do I see? I see the same shit I have been seeing the last three years. The snobby girls who think they shit roses, the douche bag jocks who’s majority of conversation revolves around sports and pussy, and the egotistical troublemakers who don’t know what the hell egotistical means. The first two groups are not even close to as bothersome as the last one. They may be snobby or douche bags but at the least they have some, not reasonable, tolerable excuses. The snobby girls are usually financially well off and have heard mommy and daddy tell them they are the cutest and smartest girl ever. Therefore, you can’t blame them for thinking that way. The parents are to blame. They confuse them into thinking that everyone feels they are cute and smart while in reality only they, the parents, feel that way. The douche bag jocks, at my school, are not stupid by any means. They just have a skewed view on what life is all about. They are under the common impression that high school is all about getting laid and sports, an impression I hate. That still is only mildly annoying in comparison with the egotistical troublemakers. These people are just so (fill in any explicit adjective of your choice). What is so glorifying about being an alcoholic and petty thief? I really don’t understand this way of thinking. Why would any one want to brag about how drunk they have been or what items they have stolen? I don’t know. This whole idea really is beyond me. If I was not subjected to this behavior everyday, then I would just ignore it and be happy. Unfortunately, I am subjected to it, and I will have to deal with it accordingly – by accordingly I mean that I will do my best to ignore it and occasionally sigh or scoff at them. I deal with these minor issues in a very simple way; it makes my life much easier.

To my frustration, I have to admit that I did not hit the thousand words mark – barely missed it. That is upsetting; it truly is a tragedy. I did; however, stay away from the rant of my previous two posts as I promised. Although, I’m sure I could have manufactured up another post to argue my point. As I said though, there is no point in argueing my point. I do want to make one statement concerning your blog though, Cody. You had a very small paragraph dedicated to your gloating on winning the arguement, how great you are, etc. etc. I just wanted to inform you that I am obviously greater than you, because I crowned you the winner. Therefore, I have more power for I am able to hand out awards that you have to work to achieve. You entertain people just to impress me. I have to say that this makes me smile. I would just like to say, “dance monkey dance.” Finally, I can end this post. I was typing like mad just so I could type “dance monkey dance” at the end of my post, and it felt as good as I thought it would. I will be back to give you people something pointless to read in due time.

Hit It!

My friend and I were asked to DJ a dance that was on Friday. I’m not sure how or why we were chosen because we both absolutely hate hip-hop today and that is the majority of the music at our dances. In fact, I don’t like much new music at all. I think that we got good songs though. We tried to mix some new stuff with some old stuff.

I think the dance went well though. There were a couple of times were I wanted to tell some people to just shut the fuck up and listen to the damn music. We had one person that just wanted to “get crunk” and another person who wanted slow songs the whole damn dance. Well I was trying to deal with all kinds of shit at once. I was sick, trying to make people happy, and trying to solve my girlfriend problem or the lack there of that is. Well it was going average until the last hour of the dance. Out of no where I started feeling extremely sick again. So I spent that last hour feeling miserable. Then the most annoying thing happened. The last song came on, a slow song of course, and a girl asked me to dance. Well I would consider this girl out of my league. I don’t even try to flirt with her because I’m sure there is no way I could date her anyway. Well, I start walking toward her and then my brother, oh yes my brother, looks at her with this dissapointed face, waves me off, and totally cock blocks me! My brother has had a crush on her for some time and everyone knows that he doesn’t have a chance. Not to say that I do, I just wrote that I don’t. I just wanted to punch him. That was like the lowest thing any brother could do to another brother. Then to top it all off Cody (my friend) got a girlfriend. Why is this a bad thing? We made a wager where if I got a girlfriend first then he would have to not talk for a full day of school and if he won then I couldn’t talk for a full day of school. It could be worse but it is going to be hard not to talk. It wasn’t a very good night at all.

So It’s Been Awhile/Ironman

Yes, it has been a very long time since my last post. I am deeply sorry but, for some reason, I just was not in the mood to type. I haven’t been up to too terribly much during my dissapearance. I’ve been pretty lazy lately. I spend my time doing school, playing NBA 2K8, watching some good television, some not so good television, and an occasional movie.  The most recent movie I watched was Iron Man. I will be screaming out my love for it in the next paragraph.

Alright so Iron Man was the best superhero movie made so far. Robert Downey Jr. is the bomb diggity yo. He played the part so damn well. Now I have to pause my rejoicing for a second to complain. Not about the movie but about some of it’s viewers. I have heard from a couple of people, not so smart highschoolers, that it didn’t have enough action. I wanted to slap every single one of them. They did the story extremely well, and the movie was how the first Ironman movie should have been done. Now back to my rejoicing; I just had to get that out of the way while I was thinking of it. They were giving hints in the movie about some of the stuff that would be in the movies to come. Like apparently War Machine is going to be in the second one and S.H.I.E.L.D will have some major significance. Also, they hinted a little at Ironman’s alcohol problems. I can’t wait for the second one to come out. I only have one complaint about the movie. Why did Tony Stark openly admit that he was Ironman? That kind of annoyed me. The fact that it was at the end of the movie bugged me even more. They buttered me up all movie with how well they did the Ironman story. I’m not an expert on Ironman, in fact, I have never read one of the comics, but I do know the story decent enough (Wikipedia is awesome). What I do know is that he denied being Ironman and had to cover it up like 3-4 times. Well after all of the buttering up, they just drop that bomb on me. It stung a little but not too much. Also the scene after the credits was interesting. Not sure what the next movie is going to be like.

While we were waiting for Ironman to start, they showed the trailer for the next Batman. Well, it looks freakin cool as hell. I can’t wait, it has potential to be even better than Ironman was. Also saw the trailers for Prince Caspian and the new Indiana Jones. I am pumped for Prince Caspian because I am a huge Narnia nerd. I have only seen one Indiana Jones movie, I know crazy huh? If it is an consolation, I really liked the one I saw. Well that should catch me up I’d say.

Hip-Hop Is Dead

I’m 15 years old so it is a miracle that I don’t like today’s hip-hop. I was fortunate enough to have a cousin to show me what good music is. Even though I don’t like today’s hip-hop, I am constantly having to listen to it because people are so closed minded nowadays that they can’t even decide what music they like. They just follow the crowd like mindless drones. One person says that a song is good so then, all of a sudden, it is number one on the charts. I can understand if the music is actually good but these songs are flat out annoying. They are all about the same thing: how many bitches you got, how much money you got, and how fly you look all pimped out. There isn’t any more good material or subtance in music today. What happened to using hip-hop as a way to get people to notice the problems that are going on in life? I’m not saying that all music has to be political but atleast make the music have a point. For example; the song Ay Bay Bay. What point does this song get across? The whole song is about a pick up line and a shitty one at that. What is even worse is when an artist comes out with the dreaded remix. All they do then is play the same song but yell “REMIX!” loudly through the whole thing. How hard is it to atleast use somewhat proper english? I don’t have a problem with slang but this is just ridiculous.  Why is it so hard for people to be open minded, instead of just doing what other people are doing, and actually listen to the nonsense these rap artists are saying. That is exactly what it is, pure nonsense.

I haven’t posted since Thursday night because I had to go to the football game Friday night. Ya know, because I’m on the team. Well, I guess you wouldn’t notice I was on the team since I didn’t play. We lost 14-8. We should have won but we don’t have a line and then the line that we don’t have got tired. I don’t think we will do good this year but oh well. I don’t care much for football. I love me some basketball though; which is another reason why it sucks to be me, because everyone at my school loves football and doesn’t care about basketball. Everyone gets pissy about a bad football season but could give a shit about how good we do in basketball.

The reason why I didn’t post yesterday was because I was at a friends hows for the night. It was boring in every since of the word. He (my friend) had his girlfriend over for a movie night. Now thats all fine and dandy but I don’t have a girlfriend so I got to watch a movie that I didn’t want to watch with Cody, his girlfriend, and a fat bitch that I hate with a passion. We watched Disturbia, ya know the one with that faggot Shiloh Labuef or however you spell his damn name. I hate Shiloh Labuef for some reason; he isn’t a terrible actor but something about him annoys the shit out of me. Disturbia isn’t a bad movie but I had Taxi Driver over there and I really wanted to watch that. Well that idea got shot down because Cody’s girlfriend didn’t want to watch an “old movie”. 

P.S.   I decided on buying the Archos 604 with Wifi. I won’t be able to order it until Tuesday due to Labor Day. I can’t wait to get it though. I hate when I decide to buy shit online because, whenever I come to the realization that I am actually gonna have something soon, I want it immediatly. 

Sick of Fuckin Racists

I’m tired of all the fucking racists that I live around. If you came where I live (90% white) at first you wouldn’t really think it was to bad considering the white to black ratio but to really notice it you have to look in between the lines. Most of the kids in my class just can’t get enough of making fun of the 2 black kids in our school. They think that if they make racist jokes then it is funny so it is okay. They even do it right to the face of the black kids and they don’t do anything because, like I said, there is only two of them in my highschool. They also justify making racist comments because they don’t like the two black kids. Now I don’t like one of the black kids because he is immature and cocky but those aren’t reasons to be racist. Let’s face it, the only reason to be racist is because you are a racist. And of course I have heard the arguement that it is okay to say the N-word because black people say it. This one is the one that pisses me off the most because it’s not okay for black, white, yellow, or red people to say this word. This is a word that degrades an entire race and it degrades the person saying it. These are people who call themselves Christians. Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m not ranting on Christianity. I am a Christian myself; all I am saying is that true Christians wouldn’t do this because true Christians follow the bible and God’s word, and in God’s word we are all equal.

I Hate Stupid People

I’m sitting in class today and talking to everyone about the dance that was on Friday. Everyone was talking about what they liked and didn’t like about the dance and Chris said he didn’t like the dance because there was no music you could crunk to. For some reason that pissed me off more than usual. I hate crunk or crunking or whatever because it is the most stupid/pointless/fake dance ever created. After he said that I replied with “Music you want to crunk to? Crunking is the most stupid dance ever, it is spazing really fast and flinging your arms around like a retard.” Chris (who is black) replied with “Well you just don’t like it because YA’LL can’t do it.” That pissed me off because he just had to make it a racial thing and not to mention the fact that that isn’t the reason why I don’t like it. I mean I can understand if he would have said I didn’t like it because I can’t do it but why does he have to speak for all white people when I was the only one that said I didn’t like the stupid shit.

Alright stupid person number 2. My friend and his girlfriend broke up and my friend told me what happened but I wanted to hear the other side of the story. I wanted to tell the girlfriend why my friend was pissed so hopefully she would get back together with him because my friend seemed pretty bummed out about it. Well my plan didn’t work. I told her why he was pissed and she didn’t agree and read me the riot act saying “You wanted me and Ben to break up Allen because you wanted Ben to pay more attention to you and not me.” Well that made no sense because earlier in the conversation I said I was trying to help her get Ben back. She also said that I made it sound like it was her fault but earlier in the conversation I said “I know it isn’t all your fault because Ben can be a smart ass sometimes.” I usually avoid the ignorance that is highschool drama but it was my best friend this time. I learned my lesson though and that is to stay out of it no matter what.
