So How’s Everyone Doin’?

So it has been awhile huh? Well I do have excuses and, frankly, I don’t care too much if you think they are good ones or not. I had to work all summer and there was some other family issues that I had to tend to, so this little blog here just got kinda shoved to the side. Anyways I am here now so that is all that matters.

I bought Rock Band this summer and have been playing the holy hell out of it. I am now proud to say that I can play the drums on expert. I only play the drums though. Everyonce in awhile I sing but am quickly informed that I suck so I don’t do it very often. I can’t play the guitar anymore. I used to be decent because of Guitar Hero but now I can’t do it at all. I don’t like the guitar any damn way. Well that pretty much sums that up.

I have watched a few movies but the most recent was The Doors. Now I am a HUGE Doors fan and an extremely HUGE Jim Morrison fan. Now the movie I thought was good but the directing was a bit iffy. I thought there was way too much infasis on how much Indians effected him. They just kept showing Indians everywhere. I also learned that there were a good chunk of parts in that movie that the director just added that never happened. That annoys me a little bit. I think if you are going to make a documentary film about a person then the actions he does in the movie should be very close to accurate to what he did in real life. These things annoyed me but I like The Doors so much that I still liked the movie a lot.

Rock Band

My friend bought Rock Band last night and we played the hell out of it. It is extremely fun. I like it a lot better than Guitar Hero. Guitar Hero didn’t hold up very well with me. After a while, I just found it boring. The main reason being that playing guitar just got boring but with Rock Band whenever we got bored we just switched to vocals or drums. The vocals are very fun. I thought it was just going to be like Kareoke, with the words just scrolling across and you say them, but I was shocked when I figured out that you had to have the right pitch and everything. You actually have to sing good or you lose. At first, I thought it was going to suck because I can’t sing to save my life, but in the end I found it pleasantly challenging and I like it the most. I found the drums fun too; however, sometimes it seems like they don’t register very well. They are pretty hard to play. It probably wouldn’t be hard for people who actually know how to play drums but for beginners it can get frustrating. The jump from easy diffuculty to medium is pretty extreme. I’m afraid to try hard because medium is crazy hard. I was the best at the drums. Cody was horrible, just bad and Drew was worse than Cody lol. The guitar that came with it sucks ass. It doesn’t register worth a shit. When you try to do consecutive colored notes you have to really pound the keys which causes you to miss about two notes just to get one. It sucked but luckily you can use a Guitar Hero guitar. Once we plugged it in, everything was fine and dandy. We only had three people, so we were missing a bass player. I can’t wait to get a whole band in there. Overall, I think that it is an extremely fun way to pass the time. 

Got My Media Player!

I got my Archos today and it is awesome. I was happy as hell. I have all my music on there already and we tried out some videos on it also. The videos look so pretty on it. The only complaint so far is that it seems to take forever to charge the battery. I have been charging it for a good 4 hours atleast and I only have 3 out of 6 bars. That is only minor though, because I am planning on buying the DVR adapter soon. The adapter charges the battery faster, turns my media player into a DVR, and can be plugged into my stereo so I can listen to music/watch videos/watch a slideshow using my media player. I can’t wait to show it off to friends and, of course, the ladies. 

Other than that my day was pretty laidback. Went to my cousin’s with my brother and a friend. Just listened to music and played NBA 2k7. My cousin and I decided to go for the achievments. I went for Kobe’s achievment, which consited of scoring 81 points with Kobe; My cousin went for Kirelinko’s, which consited of getting a 5×5. I got my 81 early in the 4th so I decided to go for the 100 points achievment. I get 99 points with 16 seconds left in the game. I get the ball and drive into the lane to slam it down. My cousin, sour because he didn’t get his achievment, decides to actually guard me tight instead of letting me just get my achievment. Well anyway, as I was saying, I drive into the basket and was about to slam it down when my cousin jumps and blocks my dunk. I was pissed like no other. They all found it funny and I did after I cooled off a little. Anyways it was overall a good and fun day.
